Cara Tommasino
Spanish Teacher
Cara is overjoyed to join the Heronfield Academy community as the seventh and eighth grade Spanish teacher. Prior to teaching at Heronfield, Cara taught middle school Spanish for four years and high school Spanish for nine, most recently at Dana Hall in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Three years into her career, Cara was inspired to further her education. In 2016, she graduated from Middlebury College with a masters degree in Spanish and Pedagogy. That experience led to her spending a year living in Madrid, Spain, delving deeply into the study of Spanish language and culture. Her philosophy of teaching is guided not only by her passion for language, but also by her commitment to celebrating the individuality of each and every student.
